Story of an Adept

A story of a disciple with whom we practiced Yoga.

I was 53. I noticed a constant "dotty" pulse in the stomach. I went to see the doctor, they put down a probe into my stomach and found a polyp. I decided that I needed to remove it. I pondered: one pulse is not enough. I remembered that in my youth, before Yoga, I applied some health-improving systems. Then I got acquainted with fasting system and even performed one. It is explained that the body goes over to internal nutrition. It is accompanied by cleansing, removal of all the excess and unhealthy — something like that. I decided to combine the pulse technique and fasting. It was winter, February, I worked every day, and my work was fast, in the open air. I fasted for 21 days. It was difficult during the last days: the muscular system weakens, you get tired quickly. As for the rest, I had normal feelings, clear mind. Another thing was chillness in the limbs. I had overcome it. It's better to do it in warm environment. Fasting is an extreme state for the body. The pulse inside was mad. I "chopped" a point in the stomach with this pulse. I finished fasting but the dotty pulse inside remained. And I understood that it hadn't worked out. I decide to do it again in the summer. In June I fasted for 18 days. The dotty pulse disappeared suddenly on the 12th day leaving only a voluminous pulse. I realized that it had worked out. I was totally confident that I had no polyp anymore. So I go to see the doctor. I say I need probing. I lie down on my side. They push down the probe. Doctor looks though the stomach and says: I don't see any polyps. And then I tell the doctor about fasting and that I knew they wouldn't find the polyp. I don't tell about the pulse. The doctor asks how many kilos I've lost. I say 8. Ouch! That's too much, it's harmful and very dangerous. They bring my medical record and write down that there're no polyps. So this fact is fixed. I say that my wife is waiting outside the door, and ask the doctor to tell her about the polyp, otherwise she won't believe me. And then my wife says that it must be the polyp was small and reabsorbed, fasting has nothing to do with this and it's very harmful. Later I asked an experienced general practitioner about that: there have been cases when there was a polyp and then it was gone. He says: "Well, one doctor noticed, another one has not..." That's our medicine. I think if it were only pulse or only fasting, it wouldn't do. While both of them and... Bingo!

Note: if you want to fast, read and understand the rules, otherwise you may harm yourself (Bragg, Nikolaev).
